Bingo Advisory Committee Profile
The Bingo Advisory Committee of Windsor, Ontario was appointed by City
Council in 1993.
The committee:
- Three bingo hall owners
- Three charity representatives from the community
- One union representative
- A member of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce
- One Councilor from the City of Windsor
Bingo Advisory Committee Purpose
The committee reviews and develops all policy in relation to the overall
management & conduct of the bingo lottery industry.
The regulations are developed to ensure a viable and profitable industry and
for the benefit of our community's charities.
The Bingo Advisory Committee uses market research programs and a
sub-committee to develop promotional strategies to grow the Bingo industry in
our community.
The Business of Bingo in Windsor
The committee oversees an industry with gross annual revenues of near
$150,000,000.
Sharing With Our Charities
Annually, approximately $30,000,000 goes to local charitable organizations.
Many kinds of charitable organizations benefit including hospitals, hospice
care, little league programmes, religious organizations and more.
Partnered With Windsor
Our committee promotes the economic development of our City by developing
socially responsible gaming policies.
